artsPitch is a training activity during which arts organizations receive fundraising advice from entrepreneurs and marketing and fundraising experts. It’s organized by artsScène Montréal, an initiative of Business for the Arts.
To help arts organizations perfect their sales and self-promotion techniques among potential donors from the private sector. At the end of this activity, participants will have improved their sales pitch significantly.
A pilot project involving three arts organizations has taken place. Due to its success, other editions are now being planned. Keep an eye on the events calendar on the artsScène Montréal website.

“artsPitch is aptly named: it was an opportunity to make a pitch to a few dozen people to get their impressions on how we were presenting ourselves, Coop les ViVaces, our projects, goals, and needs. The challenge was to be clear without getting lost in the details; inspiring, without appearing “off the wall”; structured, but natural. Those few dozen people were the most generous advisors you could imagine; they were everything but complacent. It wasn’t always easy to hear what they had to say, but it was very enriching to learn from their experience and give ourselves a framework to improve our presentations. We really appreciated this experience! Thank you!”

“I had the opportunity of taking part in artsPitch as a coach. The event was very surprising and enriching. Surprising because, as a former teacher, I’d never seen people move so quickly to put into practice the advice that was given. Enriching, because it enabled me to become aware of innovative cultural projects and the talent of these individuals. A great success and a lovely encounter between the arts and business communities. This should be done more often!”
